Hello and welcome.

My name is Alexandra Papafotiou. I was born in a small Ukrainian village Bylenka (which means “White”). It is called White because of the huge chalk mountain, located nearby. After moving to Cyprus, another village has won my heart. It’s name is Lefkara (also “White”) because of the white laces that are weaved there.

I appreciate the simplicity, naivety, openness and sincerity of the villages in any country I visit.  Living in Cyprus for 18 years I elegize these merits in my paintings.

I studied at:
– Kramatorsk Art school
– Donetsk State Art College
– Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts
